NUR 696 Management of Primary Care Problems in the Workplace

Prerequisite: Planned Parenthood Women's Health Care Nurse Practicioner Certificate and Master's Core.
Course Description: Using a case-based approach, this course will build on previous coursework requiring synthesis and application of clinical information to the management of primary care problems of women. The course will be offered as a guided study, which will meet three times during the semester for four hours of case discussion. Students will develop comprehensive management plans for twelve scenarios. These scenarios will be presented in case study format, and will focus on the presentation of common conditions of women in various body systems. Students will also complete the module on New York State Prescribing Laws.
