FIN 677A Seminar in Finance: Investment Management Regulation

Course Description:The course will provide students with a strong theoretical foundation of the law pertaining to the field of financial services and in investment management, as well as a practical understanding of the implications of recent changes in the industry. The course will focus on the law, rules and regulations related to investment managers, investment advisers, hedge funds, private equity funds, etc. it will incorporate knowledge and understanding of the various financial products that exists in the industry, and the different regulatory frameworks that govern the activities associated with those products and industry participants.
