MGT 396Q Topic: Service Management

Prerequisite: MGT 250 and junior standing.

Course Description: This course explores the history and evolution of the service economy and the theories and strategies for development of successful services. The focus will be on benchmarks of service management and the provider/client relationship. Topics will include operations, marketing, strategy, information technology and organizational issues in services. Emphasis will be on service management in the hospitality and tourism industry.
