NURS 414 Clinical Management in Maternal Newborn Nursing and Women's Health

Course Description: This course, for students in the accelerated program, utilizes a primary health care and family-centered framework to study maternal-newborn nursing and women�s health. Students will use the nursing process, critical thinking skills and an evidence based practice approach to deliver appropriate care to newborns, mothers, and women across the life span. A global perspective will be used to promote culturally competent care for women and the newborn. Supervised clinical experiences will be provided in a variety of settings.
