NURS 610 Advanced Nursing in Primary Health Care

Course Description:This course empowers students to gain the foundational knowledge of primary health care emphasis focuses on developing a historical, culturally component understanding to inform current perspectives of primary health care, including a world-view of primary health care, epidemiology, biostatistics, health care policy and advocacy. Students will gain an appreciation of the multiple determinants and system influences that impact delivery and outcomes of primary health care, and will learn how to view health outcome disparities from a multidimensional perspective.
