NURS 800 Scientific Underpinnings for Advanced Practice Nursing

Course Description: Advanced practice nursing is dynamic and requires practitioners to draw from a wide range of theories/models to guide and direct practice. This course provides students the opportunity to identify and analyze philosophical, historical and contemporary issues, including culture, central to the development of nursing science and the delivery of advanced practice nursing. Relevant theories/models from a variety of disciplines are synthesized to develop frameworks for advanced practice nursing.
