THR 219 Making Connections to Classical Greek Theater

Course Description: Since the Romans first turned to the Greeks for models of theater, the influence of Greek concepts has been a major determinant of the development of Western theater. This course explores social and artistic ideas of Ancient Greece as it is reflected in Classical Greek Theater. We will go beyond examing Greek concepts and plays by making connections to modern adaptations of Greek classics.

Must be able to travel out of country and provide necessary documentation.

Course Rotation: Spring.
