NURS 340 Women's Health, Maternal and Newborn Nursing

Course Description: Using a primary health care and family centered nursing framework, students will apply the concepts of health care for newborns and women from the child bearing years through menopause. Students will use critical thinking skills to appraise the best practices for the care of the newborns and women, a global perspective will be used to promote culturally competent care for women and their families. Students will have the opportunity to practice in a variety of practice settings.
