PAA 631 Law in the Administrative Process

Course Description: This course surveys the development of "quasi-legislative" and "quasi-legal" powers and responsibilities of administrators. Cases that involve the court and legislative actions are studied in terms of the creation of administrative rule-making powers and the exercise of discretion and judgment by administrators in the implementation of laws. The Constitutional basis of these practices and the explicit statutes governing their practices are studied. Required of all students in the government track.
