MGT 386 Optimization Models

Course Description: This advanced course is a continuation of the optimization topics introduced in MGT 226. Students will learn how to build prescriptive analytics models on the computer to arrive at the optimal decisions in business. Topics include linear programming, network models, integer programming, nonlinear programming and goal programming. Some of the application areas covered are portfolio optimization, employee scheduling, data envelopment analysis (DEA), resource allocation, and supply chain management.
